まんがとともに97年の生涯を駆け抜け
最期は穏やかにまるで眠るように旅立っていかれました。

皆様へ

私からこんなふうにお伝えするのも不思議な感じですが、
今まで私に関わってくださった多くの方々、
応援してくださったファンの皆様、
お仕事でお付き合いのあった方、
身の回りのお世話をしてくださった方、
イリーゼの優しいスタッフたち、
看護師のFさんSさん、
弟妹はじめ家族のみんな、
本当にありがとうございました。
私のまわりにはいっぱい愛があったこと、とても感謝しています。
『まんがと生きて』あっという間の人生でしたが、
私の胸には幾つもの思い出が宝物のように輝いて光を放っています。
ひと足お先に失礼しますが、
向こうにはたくさんの大事な方々が待っており、
主人とも久しぶりに会えると思っています。
以前訪れたパリの写真はずっと私のデスクにおいてあったものです。

I know we don’t know what will happen, and I want people to keep the faith, but who knows? But just for me, watching children talk about her as if she’s a monster was heartbreaking. I mean, it really hurt.
