A man is dead and his 21-year-old daughter has lost both legs after they were struck by a vehicle on Anthony Henday Drive.

RCMP say the father was helping his daughter change a tire when their vehicle was hit on the side of the ring road on Feb. 8. He was pronounced dead at the scene. His daughter was taken to hospital in life-threatening condition and later underwent amputations of both legs.

The 21-year-old driver who struck Victoria and Paul was taken to hospital with minor injuries. Police continue to investigate the collision.
