@lewdseerofthe @BitsHammer Lulwhat? It's a private company. It's like everyone claiming free speech doesn't protect you from being fired from a private company. Private companies can make their own business decisions. Subreddits on the other hand are a community within reddit that could be democratic.
@Equitarian435a@BitsHammer Already you see a bunch of alternative subreddits popping up anyway. Extremists want to paint reddit as basically ExxonMobil. The majority of users just don't care as it will never effect them in any way.

@BitsHammer It's more like shutting down communities without actual community input. Most subreddits didn't even consult their community. They just pulled the plug. And as a developer I can't fault reddit for wanting to push people towards the app they pay employees to support.
