Velika većina onih koji su jučer nosili zastave BiH u Torontu nisu samo navijači. To su ljudi koji su preživjeli ono što čovjek ne bi trebao ni zamisliti. Klanja, silovanja, logore, protjerivanja, spaljene domove, izgubljene porodice. Ljudi koji su prošli kroz pakao, a ipak iz njega izašli bez mržnje u sebi. Među njima su i djeca rođena u tuđini. Djeca koja su prvi put zaplakala daleko od kuće, jer su im roditelji bježali od smrti, noseći u sebi samo dvije stvari. Strah i Bosnu. Danas ti stariji, i mlađi, ne pjevaju pjesme osvete. Ne prizivaju mržnju, niti prijete, "kad se spuste magle" i "krvavim Drinama". Naprotiv, njihove pjesme nisu prijetnja, nego zavjet ljubavi. Njihove pjesme su ponosni zavjet zemlji koju nose u grudima, izrečen beharom koji behara i u njima, iako su hiljadama kilometara daleko. I dok ih gledaš kako stoje uspravno, kako pjevaju čisto, kako navijaju srcem a ne mržnjom, shvatiš da pred sobom nemaš obične ljude. Imaš čudo ljudskosti. Ja se ponosim svakim od njih. Klanjam im se, jer zaslužuju naklon. Jer su pokazali svijetu ono što mnogi nikada nisu htjeli vidjeti, da smo mi narod koji je preživio nezamislivo, a ipak izabrao da ostane čovjek. A to je najveći domet ljudskosti. Najveća pobjeda. Najveća poruka koju možemo poslati svijetu.
