Suarez had already agreed to personal terms with Arsenal. So Arsène Wenger instructed the board to add just £1. So, the second bid was £40,000,001 🤣🤣.

Liverpool owner John Henry received the bid and posted on Twitter: “What do you think they’re smoking over there at Emirates?”
