Hey friends, I’m moving back to the East Coast in 2ish months!
I’m looking for my next opportunity in tech writing, tech community management, and developer relations.
I’ve been doing well job searching but often lose out in the final round. 🙃
I’d love remote job leads! Thx!
@AmericanAir I DM’d you, as requested, and I’ve already filed out two forms about my suitcase And received nothing but automated responses.
How will you make this right before Monday?
hey @AmericanAir before I got on my flight, a staff member told me that my bag fell off the luggage cart and run over. He said it was taped up and would make it to my destination but I'd need to file a report when I arrived. I fly back on Monday and need a suitcase for my trip...
@AmericanAir That crushed suitcase held gifts for my family's belated holiday celebration, several items in the suitcase were damaged.
My flight home is Monday, January 12. I need a suitcase to fly back with... What will you do to make this right?

Me: "I mean, I don't get panic attacks or anything so how bad could my mental health be?"
Therapist: "You don't need panic attacks to be considered to have bad mental health."
Me: "Oh."
Therapist: "Also the symptoms you've described are definitely panic attacks."
Me: "Oh no."
Join us for our virtual Writing Day at Write the Docs Atlantic 2023!
We are looking for awesome projects to join us and get into creating/improving their docs. Our attendees want to learn about projects who want their involvement so they can contribute to them.
See you there!

@ta8bitha That is not silly at all!
For your consideration, both Clonidine and Guanfacine can help with anxiety. They are the most common along with Strattera, I haven't tried that one.
You can take C or G plus a stimulant. They are complementary treatments. I take Vyvanse + Clonidine.
@Finnattentive Before I got my official diagnosis I was on Wellbutrin and tried a slew of SRRIs that made me feel worse.
I was actually backdoored into my ADHD diagnosis because of a BED misdiagnosis where they put me on Phentermine (works but is the worst) then Vyvanse.
@Finnattentive I take Vyvanse in the morning and take Clonidine ER in the early evening to reduce impulsivity and anxiety as my stimulant wears off.
I also have a delayed sleep cycle and insomnia as side affect/co-condition so I take Trazodone to help fall asleep faster and stay asleep.
@CopaceticMES Another ADHD thread recommended taking an electrolyte supplement to help with this side effect.
I just started last week and found it reduced the dry mouth and is overall helpful for hydration.
Happy to link you what I’m trying if that’s helpful.
@ta8bitha I mention it because my doctor hadn’t heard of using those meds for ADHD treatment.
I brought in several research articles and reviewed them with him. He did research on his own and then was happy to prescribe them.
He told me he plans to offer them as an option to others now.
@ta8bitha I obviously don’t know your heart problems. I wonder if a non-stimulant would work for you? Some of them were originally blood pressure medications so I could be completely off base.
Most are approved for ADHD kids but are considered off label for adults

@Salfromaus @Finnattentive Hey, there are other non-stimulants you can get for ADHD. The majority of them were studied and approved for kids with ADHD and are considered “off label” for adults. The two most common are Guanfacine ER and Clonidine ER. You can take them to supplement stimulants or alone.
@RedQueenCoder He’s so cute! Can I ask how old he is? A lot of friend’s dogs and some that I’ve fostered went through a crate rebellion. Heck my dog did, happy to chat strategies if you want? Crate training is such a great skill for travel and emergency evacuation situations.
