You’ve noticed that Sylus has two sides to his wardrobe; Bossman Sylus and Not-Bossman Sylus.

Amongst his perfectly tailored suits and business wear, he hardly owns many items of clothing that you would consider somewhere on the scale of ‘comfy home wear’. Even his dressing gown and robes exude an aura of power and luxury that you hardly dare to touch lest you ruin the expensive fabric.

But amongst all his finery, an item of clothing always draws you in. A soft, grey cardigan that’s seeped in the very scent that you know is Sylus’. You’re almost certain that this addition joined his wardrobe after you came into his life and it’s symbolic really; the softest item of clothing not used for business and only worn when he’s with you. Like everything else about Sylus, despite its comforts, the cardigan engulfs your body the very same way his body does. The hem brushes against your leg, the shoulders droop off yours, and even as you bundle the front around yourself, the fabric remains loose. It’s in those moments when Sylus has been on business for days that you find yourself seeking his comforting scent through this particular item of clothing.

As you lounge on the plush sofa of the living room, his cardigan encompasses your tucked up form and provides you a warmth that makes your heart ache for Sylus all the more.

“Ah, I see a kitten has raided my clothes now.”

The sudden sound of Sylus’ voice startles your phone out of your grasp as it falls into your lap. Without even a moment to feel bashful at being caught wearing his cardigan, you feel a familiar weight settle atop your lap. Sylus sighs tiredly against your stomach, his arms curling around your torso.

“Hmph,” he hums in amusement. “You’re beginning to smell like me, sweetie.”

“Is that a bad thing?”

Sylus pauses, relishing in the feeling of your fingers running through his hair. It’s these quiet, intimate moments that he cherishes the most when he returns from his business - a kind reminder that this is what he works for.

“No. You smell like home.”

A smile tugs at your lips and you press a soft kiss to his forehead. Sylus hums quietly in response, eyes fluttering closed as exhaustion finally settles in his body. After days of keeping his guard up, he knows with the comfort of your warmth beneath him that he can rest.

“Sleep, Sylus. Don’t worry, I’ll be up to protect you in case your enemies attack.”

Sylus laughs loudly, a sound that has become more common since you entered his life. His face nuzzles against your stomach and not even a single word of complaint comes from his mouth as you drag a throw blanket across his body.

“Thanks for the warm welcome home, kitten.”

if ur a “crow main” u should know damn well how important and foundational NDZ is for sylusmc’s relationship.

to say that ANY of his cards are optional or not needed to fully understand his character & progression with mc is beyond ridiculous.

every card, no matter how short or seemingly insignificant and “boring,” adds something to his character, or the context surrounding his other cards & MS.

u cannot pick and choose what counts as “important” and then claim to completely understand sylusmc when you’ve skipped core pieces of their development. if ur only consuming the cards u deem “relevant,” then ur not getting the full story PERIOD.
