check their last 20 posts

separate announcements, education, community posts, product content and random fillers…

then look at which category gets replies from actual users, not just mutuals and raiders

you might discover that the project doesn’t have an engagement problem

they’ve simply spent three weeks posting things nobody has a reason to respond to

that observation alone gives you a better opening message
