The funeral became the catalyst for nationwide protests against the Islamic Republic.

از او برای حمایت قاطع از ملت ایران در مبارزه علیه جمهوری اسلامی و ارج نهادن به تاریخ و تمدن کهن کشورمان سپاسگزاری کردم.

در این دیدار، راه‌های حمایت عملی از ملت ایران، از جمله تأمین دسترسی پایدار به اینترنت آزاد، را بررسی کردیم. ژنرال گومار برای همکاری با ما در جلب حمایت بیشتر اروپا از مبارزه آزادی‌خواهانه ملت ایران ابراز آمادگی کرد.
