Attacks across the Middle East are again shaking communities already living on the edge. When bombs fall…when supply chains collapse…the price of feeding people goes up. Everywhere.
In Gaza, this has driven up costs so much that our @wckitchen teams have had to scale back meal production. I will not pretend the situation is not getting harder.
But our teams are still there. We have not left. Hundreds of thousands of meals…hundred of thousands of loaves of bread. Every. single. day.
To the international community: this is the moment to step up. Every obstacle placed in front of humanitarian organizations, every dollar withheld from aid, every attack that makes this work harder. The impact is real…meals that do not arrive...children who go to sleep hungry tonight.
We keep cooking. We keep showing up. But the world must show up too. #ChefsForGaza

WCK is expanding our response in eastern DRC—where conflict, displacement, and a growing Ebola outbreak are pushing families to the brink. Through partnerships with Panzi Hospital and Good News for Africa, we've served more than 380,000 meals to families in need. Read more: https://t.co/PvTrrKDdGB #ChefsForDRC
One year after lighting the first stove, WCK and HAS Haiti have served more than ten million meals across the Artibonite region—even as displacement reaches levels not seen since the 2010 earthquake. 10 million meals didn’t happen by accident. It happened because hundreds of local team members arrive before dawn every day to light fires, sort rice and beans, chop vegetables, and cook for their neighbors. Working alongside local farmers and producers, we’ve prepared tens of thousands of hot meals every day—meals that taste familiar, bring comfort, and remind people that they are not alone. Since Russia launched its full-scale invasion of Ukraine, WCK teams have been on the frontlines—making sure Ukrainians have access to the food and water they need. More than four years later, we're still there, serving hot meals, providing food kits, and so much more. Hear from WCK Response Director Yuliya who spoke to the @AtlanticCouncil about how our work has evolved since 2022: https://t.co/dX04aabSgw

This is what displacement looks like in Lebanon.
Rabei's home was hit by a missile in 2024. His sons were injured. One lost his eye. Today, his family remains without a home. "Food, water—we secure what we can. Life continues," he told us.
Mohammed returned to Srifa is southern Lebanon after the ceasefire to find his home damaged, no water, no electricity. He couldn't even reach his house to see if it was still standing.
These are the families WCK shows up for every day to ensure that even in the hardest moments, no one is left without a meal. #ChefsForMidEast
As conditions in Ukrainian frontline cities remain challenging, many families don't have consistent access to gas stoves and other cooking supplies they need to cook. That's why WCK is bringing the stoves to them with our cooking kits, each of which includes a gas stove, gas canisters, and a fire extinguisher. With these tools, Ukrainian families can once again taste the comforting flavor of a home-cooked meal, serving dignity during difficult times. #ChefsForUkraine

Hurricane season is almost here—and WCK is ready. As NOAA releases its 2026 Atlantic hurricane season forecast, our vehicles are serviced, warehouses are stocked, and community networks across the Caribbean, Mexico, Central America, and the United States are activated and ready.
As our Response Director Juan Camilo puts it: "We don't let the forecast change our preparation—we prepare for the worst, every time." Because when a storm makes landfall, the families in its path can't wait.
➡️ Pre-Position and Ready to Deploy
✅ 3 Response Operations Centers acrross the U.S.
✅ Food trucks and field kitchens ready to deploy
✅ Supplies pre-positioned in Mexico, Colombia, Jamaica & Puerto Rico
✅ Kits ready to produce 5,000–10,000 meals daily from day one—even without electricity
✅ Satellite communications and field technology staged and ready for areas where infrastructure is down
➡️ How WCK Responds: Speed with Eyes Open
From the moment a storm develops, WCK is watching. As models converge on a landfall track, our teams take action.
Being in-country before landfall means being able to cook on day one, before airports close and roads flood. In the critical first 48 hours, WCK provides hot meals, clean water, and satellite communications to affected communities.

Attacking a humanitarian vehicle is a war crime. Watch WCK Ukraine Response Director Yuliya's message on the drone strike against our clearly marked delivery van in the Kherson region—the second such attack on a WCK vehicle there.
The driver was alone and uninjured. In Kherson, our teams use armored vehicles to deliver hot meals to people with disabilities, elderly residents, and families with no other way to access food. For them, these deliveries are a daily necessity.
Humanitarians must never be a target. Our commitment to the people of Ukraine is unwavering. #ChefsForUkraine
📺 WATCH | How are Ukrainians surviving Russia's relentless attacks on civilian infrastructure?
In Episode 3 of 'In Focus: Voices from Ukraine,' @WCKitchen's @Y_Stefanyuk explains how her team is meeting civilians' urgent needs across the country.
We had the opportunity to speak with @WCKitchen's @Y_Stefanyuk about humanitarian needs across Ukraine & how World Central Kitchen is responding as Russia devastates access to food, shelter, and other critical needs.
Watch our new episode of "In Focus: Voices from Ukraine" below:
Today’s attacks on humanitarian workers are war crimes. The world cannot accept this as normal. Too many aid workers have died like this around the world. Russia is a permanent member of the UN Security Council but it attacks UN and WCK vehicles in Kherson, Ukraine. While the aid workers survived unharmed, one resident died. This war needs to end now. The suffering needs to end now. We are an American-based NGO @realDonaldTrump@FLOTUS@SecRubio #ChefsForUkraine
A little girl in a shelter in Lebanon told WCK Chef Corps member Aline she was craving Kibbeh Labanieh. "Can you make it," she asked, "like you're my mom?"
So Aline did. Spiced meat and pine seeds from the forests of southern Lebanon, hand-rolled and fried, served over rice in a warm yogurt sauce with coriander and garlic. A dish that takes time—because some things are worth taking time for.
This Mother's Day, we're thinking of every mother displaced from her home, every child craving a taste of normal, and every person who shows up to cook with love when it matters most. Try Aline's recipe for Kibbeh Labanieh at home: https://t.co/OcVXbrWdUs #ChefsForMidEast #MothersDay
Behind every WCK team member showing up to cook for communities in crisis is a person who shaped them. Happy Mother's Day to everyone who nurtured a love of food and a heart for others in the WCK family who now feed the world. 💛 #ChefsForTheWorld#MothersDay (2/2)
Every chef has an origin story. For many of ours, it started in a home kitchen—watching, tasting, and learning from the person who first taught them that feeding someone is an act of love. Before they were feeding thousands, they were being fed by one. (1/2)
“It's the dust that choked you, the smell of the blood, the sound of the sirens.”
