@Penalosa_G We shouldnβt just throw a 30 km/h limit on it. We need to rebuild these roads so drivers naturally drive 30 or less and cyclists and pedestrians have safe access to the street.
@ibushfield @epat96 Honestly, I'm not sure policy decisions around densification are that substantially different in Toronto despite being amalgamated. I'm guessing at-large vs ward councillors plays a part in this. Etobicoke councillors are fine with core Toronto densification.
@kristynwongtam This is incredibly disappointing. The city badly needs more housing and density and this is a perfect place for it. There can be good critiques of the specific plan but "less density" is not a reasonable goal.
The city continues to spend loads of money on police and private security to evict just a dozen or so people instead of spending it on improving housing and services for those who need it. Absolutely disgusting and inhumane
Police and private security have arrived at Lamport Stadium. The city says they will be evicting the 14 to 17 people experiencing homelessness who live at this encampment
Bellwoods right now: Houseless Torontonians, advocates and journalists alike penned in while other citizens stand watch. The city is running this encampment clearing with requested help from police and private security. Tory and council was briefed, spokesperson tells me
Toronto has a housing crisis that challenges our values as a society. It's not too late to change course.
In April, we set out to organize Toronto's pro-housing voices to advocate for housing ethics and justice. Today, we launch https://t.co/bNfUVjOljK
@TOAdamVaughan@rCanadaHousing We don't need support to help 10k people pay for homes at inflated prices, we need policies that reduce the prices of ALL homes
Equity is baked into the Ontario #COVID19 vaccination plan but must be operationalized:
1. Lower age cutoff offs for disproportionately impacted postal codes
2. More vaccine allocation to heavily impacted regions
3. Prioritizing essential workers

@RM_Transit As someone who lived right next to an elevated portion of Vancouver's Skytrain I can tell you that it definitely makes the public realm worse. There are good areas adjacent to the Skytrain but the area along the line is not that nice.
@kiwinerd From my understanding though, access to testing, ability to isolate, mask use, traditional contract tracing, and social distancing are all far more effective for controlling spread than this app. Unfortunately there is a lot of inequity with all of those as well.
.@WestJet does your website do anything other than this?
The super annoying thing is that the underlying API request is returning my flight details but it still won't show up here so I can't cancel it.
