Vegan diets are so unhealthy that they can cause negative health effects before you actually go vegan. For example, my vision has been poor since 2005. I went vegan in 2015. Veganism caused my poor vision.

No changes in individual choices or behaviors of any kind should be discussed as all such discussion is moralizing and bad politics. Distinguish between moralizing end ethics? Nah. Look to research on individual changes and norm shifts? Nope. Defend the status quo? Always!

people find out you’re vegan and start trying to list ways you can “ethically” eat animal products. meanwhile they aren’t even getting their animal products that way even if it was ethical. just talking to talk.

In a world where meat consumption is *rising* and the vast majority of people (95%+) eat meat, meat-eating is nonetheless being framed as under attack by elites. “Eating meat to own the libs” is gonna be a populist and conservative rallying cry. Gotta act accordingly.
