New FCS championship date: The DI Cabinet has approved the FCS Oversight Committee’s Proposal No. 2026-22 to move this season’s FCS championship game date to Monday, Jan. 11. It was originally/tentatively scheduled for Jan. 4. The title game will receive a national standalone spotlight game again, drawing 2.4M and 2.3M TV viewers in the last 2 years of playing on Monday nights. It’ll be in Nashville for the 2nd year in its 2-year contract. Future championship hosting is currently in the bid process. #FCS
