Zimbabwe Farmers Union(ZFU) was born on August19, 1991, following the merger of Zimbabwe National Farmers Union& the National Farmers Association of Zim in 1990
ZFU and Rural Women’s Assembly joined the AU Seed Summit in Eswatini (5–7 Oct), advocating recognition of Farmer-Managed Seed Systems and women farmers as custodians of seed, knowledge and heritage.

The conference has provided a platform to discuss issues affecting the agricultural sector, including El Niño preparedness, climate-smart production and good agricultural practices, as stakeholders work together to support a successful 2026/27 tobacco season.
The Board remains committed to working with growers and stakeholders to strengthen resilience, improve crop quality and promote sustainable production across the tobacco value chain.
