Minister Gayton McKenzie has called for the immediate closure of all foreign owned spaza shops and the arrest of their owners for deportation.

This urgent response follows the heartbreaking deaths of six children who allegedly consumed snacks from a spaza shop owned by foreigners in Naledi, Soweto.

Additionally, just last week, 25 learners fell ill after reportedly consuming poisonous snacks at Mshuluzane Mayisela Primary School in Gauteng.
