One Remote-Work Skill I'm Paying More Attention to is Taking initiative.

There's a difference between "Nobody told me what to do" and "I noticed this needed to be done, so I handled it and kept you updated."

Obviously, you shouldn't go changing things you weren't asked to change.

But learning to notice problems, suggest solutions, and communicate what you're doing can make a huge difference when you're working remotely.

• Applied for an internship role

He applied for a Customer Care role and got rejected. They said they were moving forward with other candidates.

This is exactly why I’m intentionally looking for an internship role right now. I know experience doesn’t just happen. I want to put myself in the right environment, learn, contribute, and build real experience that I can grow from.
