47 years ago today , on August 20th, 1979, "Slow Train Coming",
the first album in Bob Dylan’s Christian trilogy, was released. Among the musicians… Mark Knopfler on guitar 🎸 , and Pick Withers on drums. It was also the start of Dylan & Knopfler collaborations.

Meet Danny! ❤️
Danny is a lovely young boy, around 18 months old, and he’s an absolute sweetheart.
He’s super friendly and was handed in by a galguero.
Once again, we’re always so happy when a galgo comes in and looks like he’s able to cope with the world.
So many arrive frightened, overwhelmed and unable to cope with even the most basic things.
But Danny is different. He’s confident, friendly and ready to take on life. He’s great on the lead and we really think he’ll fit beautifully into a new home.
This lovely young lad is ready for his next chapter.
Let’s get Danny out of the kennels and into the loving home he deserves. ❤️🐾

You may remember the other day we told you about Ethel and Mildred, who arrived together.
We were initially told that both were very old dogs.
Then, rather embarrassingly, we discovered that Ethel—who now has a very old-lady name—was actually only three!
We worked this out more or less from her spay, as her uterus was still very small.
Well, Mildred went in to be spayed today. Like Ethel, she was covered in lumps, bumps and tumours. But this time, it has been confirmed that she really is old! So at least we got one right. 😂
Mildred is around 10 years old, a lovely Galgo mix, and she is now looking for a home.
She is absolutely wonderful, and all of her tumours have been removed.

Yes, we are a Spanish rescue 🇪🇸but just to remind you, from time to time, we also help our friends in China @CandyCaneRescue with some of their dogs, just as they help us with some of ours over in the UK.
It’s a wonderful chain of teamwork and rescue

Little Italia, the whippet-type dog we showed you yesterday, has already been reserved! 🥹❤️
We have received so many emails about little Italia that, unfortunately, we simply cannot answer them all individually.
We really hope you see this message and understand.
The good news is that we have more whippet-type dogs arriving soon. They won’t be as tiny as Italia, but they will be around 12–14 kg.
So please keep an eye out for our new arrivals, coming very soon.
And if you would still like to adopt another dog from Galgos del Sol, please feel free to reapply 🐾❤️
Once again, we are so sorry that we cannot reply to every email. There have simply been so many applications and messages for little Italia.
Thank you so much for your understanding and for caring about these dogs.
