Every one of them is now written permanently into the chain - not sitting on a server, not pointing at an image someone can swap out later. The block is on chain, the ownership is on chain, and it stays there whether we're around or not. That's what makes these real NFTs and not JPEGs with a receipt.

And you don't have to take our word for it. Every mint is confirmed by a return transaction - we send dust back to the minter's wallet carrying your own memo. Your proof of mint lands in your wallet, signed by the chain, readable by anyone, forever.

You can also check your cube in the Yours tab on our site - enter your cube number and it loads right there, along with the on-chain record proving it's written to the chain.

The look of your Zodling isn't a random skin - every tile is a real transaction from your Zcash block, rendered by what it actually was: transparent, shielded, both pools, your mint tx, or an empty slot.

How many tiles get filled comes straight from the number of transactions in your block. A busy block fills the cube. A quiet one leaves most of it empty.

Each transaction type has 10 traits of its own - so a shielded tile can land as any one of 10, and the same goes for every other type. That's where the variety comes from. You can see which attributes you rolled at the bottom of the mint screen.

Short version of where this goes:

Near term - finish mint, open our own marketplace so trading lives in the same place your block data does. We'll start there, We are also talking with other big marketplace about listing Zodlings. We also want every holder's block to be fully verifiable from their dashboard.

Mid term - we think most NFTs on Zcash are still just images living on top of the chain, rather than art that is actually tied to it. We want to change that. Zodlings is our first step toward making art that is genuinely on-chain - generated from the chain itself, verifiable from the underlying block, and inseparable from the data that created it. To us, that's what an NFT should be.

Always - everything stays on chain and verifiable.

We'll publish a full breakdown this week. Genuinely open to what holders want to see - that shapes what we build first.

Your Zodling isn't drawn at the moment you mint. It's generated from the transactions in the next 10 Zcash blocks after yours: how many there are, shielded or transparent, and where they sit in each block.
After those 10 blocks there's a quick final confirmation of 1–3 more blocks. Around 15 minutes in total, then your cube is generated and revealed.

Nobody can know what a Zodling will look like in advance - not you, not us. It depends on blocks that don't exist yet when you mint.
