The replies to this clearly shows why further inclusivity and further education is needed.
I did not get Type 1 Diabetes from being fat. It was forced on me and I am unable to get rid of it.
If I saw this when I was a child I would’ve felt a lot less alone.
So today marks 19 years since I was diagnosed with type one diabetes. Seeing as I’m on a train for the next four and a half hours, I thought I’d go through some things (19!) I’ve learned since I first found out my pancreas had done a runner…
trans women aren’t causing poverty for 14 million people in the uk
trans women aren’t making NHS waiting lists so long that people are having avoidable deaths
trans women aren’t making the cost of living so expensive that premature deaths will rise by 6.5% this year
trans women aren’t encouraging children to be trans
trans women aren’t wasting billions of tax payers money
trans women make up roughly 0.1% of the population and are usually just trying to blend in and live peacefully. let’s stick to the facts.
Just want to throw a "you're amazing!" Out there to the people who still feel a little lost after the pandemic. Lives have changed and I promise not every is as put together as they seem.
Things will work out. Keep going!
I've said it before I'll say it again... im a millions times happier doing the job I'm doing now then when I was at drama school and thinking about my future in industry... normalise this more please👏🏻👏🏻
Making the decision to leave the industry after training as a performer is one of the bravest decisions a person can make. I have so many dear friends who have used their training to achieve wonderful things in a variety of different fields. They make me burst with pride. ❤️ x
1. Found unknown confidence showing off my diabetes and educated people along the way💪🏻
2. Started a brand new career path which has made my happiness fly through the roof🥳
3. Realised how proud I am for who I have become (from finally having the right people around me)💙
