Rest in peace to the voice behind Uncle Iroh, Aku and Master Splinter 🕊️

Remembering Mako, born Makoto Iwamatsu, who passed away 20 years ago this July at the age of 72. A trailblazing Japanese-American actor, voice artist, and theater pioneer, he helped break barriers for Asian performers while creating some of animation’s most unforgettable characters.

His iconic roles and contributions included:
• Uncle Iroh — Avatar: The Last Airbender
• Aku — Samurai Jack
• Master Splinter — TMNT
• Po-Han — The Sand Pebbles
• Akiro — Conan the Barbarian
• The Reciter — Pacific Overtures
• Co-founder of East West Players

Mako brought warmth and wisdom to Uncle Iroh, while his booming, theatrical performance made Aku one of animation’s greatest villains. His emotional rendition of “Leaves from the Vine” remains one of Avatar’s most heartbreaking moments.

Mitch McConnell’s team released yet another hospital photo, and apparently they forgot that some of us grew up doing the “What’s Wrong With This Picture?” puzzles in Highlights magazine.
Because I have questions. A LOT of questions.
First, why does the sign above the door appear to say Room 411 while the sign beside the exact same door says Room 412? And why are the room numbers apparently INSIDE the room?
Then there’s what appears to be a paper chart hanging from the bed. Yes, I know some hospitals still use paper for certain things, but plenty of nurses are going to look at that setup and immediately question it. Charts aren’t beside beds anymore and haven’t been in years. If a place does use paper charts, they’re kept at the nurses station.
Now look at the IV. The bag appears full and doesn’t appear to be connected to Mitch. And what appears to be an Alaris IV pump setup looks like it has two channels but no control module—the “brain” needed to operate it.
Then I started looking around the room.
Why are there multiple hand sanitizer dispensers? Why is one positioned where it is? Why are an otoscope and ophthalmoscope mounted on the wall right beside the patient bed? Why does the angle and perspective of the bed itself look strange?
Now look at the glasses. The reflections caught my attention because what appears to be reflected in them doesn’t seem to correspond clearly with what’s around or behind the photographer. The apparent overhead lighting reflected in the glasses also doesn’t seem consistent with the way the room itself is lit.
Then there’s Mitch himself. Zoom in and parts of his face—particularly around his mouth and glasses—look strange to me. That could absolutely be compression from repeatedly uploading, downloading and screenshotting an image, but I’m looking at the entire picture, not one isolated pixel.
And after reportedly being hospitalized for weeks, he’s standing there, dressed in jeans and that familiar red checkered shirt, looking remarkably camera-ready.
Any one of these things might have a perfectly reasonable explanation. Maybe all of them do.
But when you release a photograph specifically to reassure the public that everything is fine, and I spend the next twenty minutes playing the nurse’s edition of Highlights magazine trying to figure out what the hell I’m looking at, your reassurance campaign may need a little work.
I’m not declaring the photo AI. I’m not declaring it Photoshopped. I’m pointing at the things I can see with my own two eyes and asking questions.
Because at this point, I don’t need another carefully staged photograph.
I need some answers. It's more AI slop with the same shirt on.

⛔️ Child sex trafficking and organized abuse survivor, Madison (Clares) Cupps, who died under mysterious circumstances on April 10th, 2026 in a disturbing sequence of damning emails between her and her mother (whom Madison had publicly alleged was complicit in her abuse and trafficking alongside her father and many others):

In these emails, Madison admits to being clinically diagnosed with Dissociative Identity Disorder (or D.I.D. which is caused by extreme child abuse and trauma), alleged she is also a victim of MK ULTRA, and you can see her mother begging her to retract her public statements of abuse and trafficking by her mother and her father, Bryan Cupps, who allegedly trafficked Madison to Steve Jobs and many other men through his pizza ordering company, CyberSlice.

Madison’s mother, who has attacked me and all of Madison’s online community for elevating Madison’s voice and testimony, accuses and gaslights Madison - saying she has ‘false memories’ and encourages her to take the medication Clozapine.

Madison passed away on April 10th of 2026 and the mysterious circumstances surrounding her death and has had no further investigation. And her family have worked arduously to coverup any trace of Madison and her death (aside from a deranged obituary that further abused Madison instead of honoring her).

This is the reality for survivors. Madison was not crazy and did not have ‘false memories’. She was once a child who went through horrific abuses beyond any of our imaginations and courageously took to going online to publicly disclose. She disclosed every single name - naming her own parents and Steve Jobs - and used her own real name to legitimize herself. And now Madison is no longer here.

We are FAILING survivors. They are dying, being targeted, and risking their lives to share this information with us. Madison’s family wants us to forget about Madison. To write her off as a poor ‘psychotic’ daughter who lied about her abuse. Madison was one of the most courageous and insanely brave people I’ve ver met. She was a hero. A silenced hero. She took a lot of her testimony to the grave with her. But her dignity and integrity live on.

Please do not look away. And please share this. The same mother in these emails spent countless hours trying to intimidate me after Madison’s death. She called Madison’s online community ‘delusional’. She called Madison delusional. Madison was of sane and sound mind. She was brilliant.

Please read and help share her truth 🙏🏼 Her family needs investigated. If not for her untimely death, then for allegations of child sex trafficking brought forth by Madison and her twin sister. Madison’s parents still walk free and have access to children - including Madison’s little brother (who was Madison’s inspiration for speaking out to begin with) #SaveKyle 💔
