The @BeReal_App notifies me at ~11am every day for a picture so every picture is me sitting at my desk working, unable to show anything really since I code and can’t show company code. So great idea for an app, but not panning out well for me.

@lukiebriner @Nick_Craver It’s all about margins, for sure. If I can make $200k per dev’s work, I might pay them $100k. But if I target a small market or I don’t have a very big market share and my margins are smaller, maybe I can’t afford a $100k dev.

@Nick_Craver It’s really stupid. I left a company because they wouldn’t pay me market, then 6 months later I went back to my old position for more than I asked for to counter! (Turned out their desperation was worth more.) Why aren’t companies paying to retain talent.
