Given Alabama's 6-spot drop after a 2 point loss over now #8, and placement behind 2-loss Notre Dame, it's hard to see any value in the SEC moving to a 9th conference game.

With 8, their schedules are already harder. And clearly loss mitigation and recency are most rewarded
