Took another look at ZoomPlanner recently.
I put a lot of work into it and it's a solid app, for what it was designed to do.
My plan is to use it internally for now and (possibly) release in the future.
At the moment, my time is spent overwhelmingly on a different project that is providing a return on my investment already.
In order to not divide my time up and do nothing well, I’d rather focus on one thing and do that very well.
Have an excellent 2021 :)
I have decided to halt progress on ZoomPlanner indefinitely in order to focus on other pursuits.
There’s a chance I may resume it in future. I’ve done a significant amount of work already and it feels solid, but I only want to release it if I can provide solid customer support.
Always a joy reading @SlackHQ release notes. Shout-out & thanks to all the companies that do this, big and small!
Anyone have apps they love reading release notes for, because they're either witty or ... just more than "fixed bugs"?
Special mention for @PodcastAddict, too ♥️
Following feedback from early testers, I'm working on an even better version of the @ZoomPlanner website ... this time with a feature list and pricing details.
Working on the "lovable" part of Minimum Lovable Product, or SLC: Simple, Lovable, Complete.
Moved the task and project creation forms into a modal with a slight transition down effect. Makes it feel nice and smooth, and it's definitely nicer than having the form always visible.
I'm now at the point where I'm actually struggling to think of what else to add to this MVP / MLP. I think that's a good sign it's finished!
Will contact early access peeps again soon & get you to start playing with it. Once user testing is done, it's time for public release! ⚡️
Here's a screenshot of the availability section, where you enter your regular working hours.
Additional sections coming shortly (one of those being a place to add time off - which will temporarily adjust your availability for a date range).
