This video is from June of 2025. Kristof is talking about his trip to Africa in April of last year.
He didn't wait a year or six months. After two months of Trump in office he traveled to Africa in search of stories of people who had died because of DOGE cuts.
Doesn't anybody think that this guy was coming back from Africa without "stories" of people dying because of DOGE? No way. Zero chance of that.
Not surprising at all, Kristof didn't search villages in Africa for heartbreaking stories when Biden was giving $100 billion in aid to Ukraine.

The lack of fencing around SCOTUS doesn't really mean anything about tomorrow's birthright citizenship decision.
People are citing the lack of Roe v. Wade fencing as an indicator the court will uphold birthright citizenship.
But the two cases are apples and oranges when it comes to the fervor of public opinion surrounding them.
This morning, NOBODY was there demonstrating in favor of birthright citizenship. Its just not something people are set to riot over.

Yes, I proudly put George Washington on my America 250 Cousin T’s pancake box. He owned slaves, but that is not his entire legacy. He was also our first president and helped build the nation that gave people like me the freedom to rise.
I went from foster care to building Cousin T’s, a successful Black-owned American company. I am living the American Dream.
So while Al Sharpton is calling for a boycott, I am calling for Black Americans to stop letting professional outrage merchants convince us that patriotism belongs only to white people.
America is my country too.
I will celebrate her loudly, proudly, and without permission.
Tomorrow Barrett will publish her argument that a Chinese Communist party member who flies to Guam so he and his wife can deliver their baby, who then take their child to be raised in China, will be eligible to be President of the United states 35 years later
