the only times he’s moved pengjun’s heart was when he took the knife for her and helped the refugees secure their basic necessities — basically exercising kindness, self-sacrifice, community service. if he was thinking clearly he’d see the pattern and adjust his game plan+
They need to be ratioed because I genuinely don’t know what part of DARK ROMANCE isn’t clear enough. It’s a republican-era drama, not a 21st-century relationship guide. If you can’t handle the genre, STFU and watch something else
this!!! i wish people would stop doubting his choice. actor’s job is to portray a character, not to embody their moral beliefs. they’re allowed to bring morally questionable characters to life while maintaining their own personal judgment
Can we talk about her? She's giving me the ick like JXT. I can clearly see she has some feelings for Changxuan, which I find repulsive because wdym a sister-in-law is harboring feelings for her young brother-in-law? I know she thought of Changxuan as a connection to her husband, but girl, please that's next-level fucked up. And if she turns out to be an evil character too, I'll flip 😑
Please, what do we do with people who go into a drama knowing fully well what the plot is about, only to start complaining when the plot starts going exactly the way it promised to?
I'm seeing some of you bashing chenglei??? Just a little reminder for your little brain he's playing a character. Changxuan's actions in the drama does not portray his real life character!!!!

Some of you guys need to remember.....
1. This is a work of fiction.
2. The drama is transparent from the beginning about where the plot and characters are headed.
3. There is no need to overreact to everything. Every character’s actions have a rationale, and we are not even halfway through the story so allow the narrative to unfold.
4. It is ok to criticize or express frustration toward the characters. It is not ok to attack the actor or actress. That is absolutely not acceptable.
5. Remember that we, as the audience, have a broader perspective than the characters do. Do not expect the characters to distinguish right from wrong immediately. They will make mistakes, and as the story progresses, they will grow, learn from those mistakes or come to understand the situation, and make better choices just as people do in real life. Some maybe be redeemable and some not, just like real life.
6. Again, it is entirely fine to discuss the characters actions and express your opinions, have a good debate on it but harassment of other and petty fight is not.
7. RESPECT CHENG LEI AND CICI. I will not tolerate anyone targeting them for playing their roles. If you are angry at the characters they portray, that means they are doing their job well. I greatly admire them both. I am happy that they took on the roles of Changxuan and Pingjun, as they were perfect for them. I appreciate that they are actors who can take a challenge rather than playing the same types of roles repeatedly. I am pleased with the direction of the drama, as it has exceeded my expectations in both quality and the thought put into it, something that is evident from netizen reviews and the data.
So let's continue to support the drama and them ! DongXi 🥰🍂
