If I’m Prime Minister and swear in their Excellency the Right Honourable Governor General of Canada (at the Senate presided by the Chief Justice) as the representative of the Crown I’m wearing my Order of Canada regalia and JJ can wear his torn jeans. @JJ_McCullough
Another police investigation connected to this government. Another audit they refuse to release. Another question about what happened to taxpayer money.
This is not a one-off. It is a pattern.
Ontarians deserve answers.
Charlie Angus on Alberta voter data leak: We cannot treat the theft of voter data as simply a privacy breach. It must be investigated through the larger lens of foreign threat.
If abortion becomes illegal, women and girls are just gonna start throwing themselves down the stairs again and shoving coat hangers in their body again you fucking idiots. You can't get rid of abortion. You are only getting rid of safe, medically-supervised ones.
Carney building a massive airport on Toronto’s waterfront would be a historic mistake inflicted on the city
Consistent effort over 50 years has recovered Toronto’s waterfront from an ugly industrial area, and now a dumb decision by him for a US bank might undo it all
Doug Ford chartered a private jet with taxpayer dollars to Washington so he could play Captain Canada for a day.
And he still couldn’t get a meeting with the U.S. administration.
So what did Ontarians pay for? A photo op? A headline? Another round of Ford pretending to be Prime Minister while families here are paying more and getting less?
Ontarians need their Premier focused on Ontario.
VON DER LEYEN: We propose, for the first time, to ban from entry into the European Union anyone who has served in Russian armed forces since the beginning of the war.
Europe stays off-limits for anyone who has participated in the invasion of Ukraine. As simple as that.
I’ve been thinking a lot about the extraordinary outbursts of the President of the United States against female journalists... well, actually against journalists in general and journalism. But it feels like he saves his most childlike behavior and irrational language for female reporters, calling them all kinds of names that kids in kindergarten are given times out for. It’s stunning to me to witness such behavior from any leader, any CEO, any person of influence or importance. I’ve never witnessed someone like this raging, this weekend with @meetthepress host @kwelkernbc, just last week in the Oval Office with @cnn’s @kaitlancollins, calling women stupid or piggy, telling them to “smile”, calling them darling, demeaning their credibility. Every good man should denounce this behavior. Every person should be able to stand up for their colleagues and say “No more.”
Imagine this man screaming like this at your daughter, your wife, your sister, your mother... would you stand for it? No, you wouldn’t! And neither should any of us. It’s unacceptable and undignified. Period. End of story.
Lieu: The president is not well. He has tremendous difficulty staying awake on the job. He has repeatedly fallen asleep at Cabinet meetings, at White House events, at a Memorial Day ceremony, and most recently at a very loud NBA game last night.
The White House needs to explain why Donald Trump keeps going to the hospital and taking cognitive tests.
The Epstein files exposed a transnational child sex trafficking network.
Thousands of pages have been released.
Years have passed.
Where are the charges?
No, Maliq. This is silly
People are aware that a number of radical Muslims are threatening to take Britain over, and kill infidels
Many Muslims do not have this intention, but they seem loathe to speak, up for some reason
It's hard for someone like me to figure out how strong the moderates are, and whether the radicals can be controlled
In the meantime it's safer for me to take the threats seriously
And the threats are not coming from the Buddhists
Days before calling a snap election, Doug Ford spoke at a Highway 401 tunnel event attended by PC donors and industry leaders.
The more we learn about this fantasy tunnel, the more questions we have. Who benefits? How much will it cost? And why is Doug Ford focused on a mega-project that could cost tens of billions while Ontarians struggle with health care, housing, and affordability?
Ontario needs transparency - not backroom politics. #onpoli

Doug Ford flew to Washington to play Captain Canada but couldn’t get a meeting with anyone from the U.S. administration.
Back home, he voted against removing the tax on food and lowering grocery prices. Ontarians are paying for the show – and getting nothing for it.
