Something mainstream media won’t report:
There was a Zoom tonight for Black women organizing for Kamala Harris.
The call had a max of 1000 people. They hit it immediately, and got a hold of the Zoom CEO to help.
40,000 people joined. For over 4 hours.
Trump is soooo screwed.
I’ve known Vice President Kamala Harris for a long time.
She’s a tenacious fighter, a champion for our rights & defender of our democracy. United, she will lead us as we defeat Donald Trump this November.
I am proud to endorse Vice President Kamala Harris as our Democratic nominee. Let’s go!
The “America just got tossed into the abyss” narrative seems to assign very little agency to actual Americans who really do get to decide whether the abyss looks more inviting than the non-abyss.
Certainly there is a pro-abyss contingent, just look for anyone trying to use the assassination attempt of Donald Trump to further turn the temperature up. The abyss is good for some people. There are also people who can be drawn into the pro-abyss faction by fear and frustration.
But I think the abyss is both undesirable and pretty avoidable. Also, pitching the abyss as inevitable feels like a pro-abyss talking point.
This has been my New York Times Op Ed for the day and “abyss” no longer sounds like a real word to me. Abysss. Abyyysssss…
Stop watching conspiracy theories form in real time and start making a healthy dinner for yourself or your family.
Anything that you're gonna find out tonight will be more accurate and well-sourced tomorrow anyway.
I don’t support violence. And, Trump is not a god. He’s not now or will ever be a hero. He’s a criminal. Hope he recovers but y’all absolutely better stop romanticizing and glorifying violence or we have some deeply dark and bloody days ahead of us.

Emory professor Nicole McAfee, chair of the university's philosophy department, was among those arrested amid the Atlanta school's crackdown on student protesters.
Democracy Now! spoke to Professor McAfee about the protests, which she says were "peaceful" until police arrived.
Emory quietly admitting that 20 of the 28 arrested were from the university, but then burying that in the worst justification I’ve ever seen is cowardly behavior. I know one of the other eight is a Morehouse *student.*
Received this email from the president of Emory earlier today. “These individuals are largely not affiliated with Emory”. Literally a bold face lie. People I went to school with that still attend Emory were arrested today. Greg. Even your own faculty were arrested. And you fled.
