I’ve known Mallam Sanni, our Mai Ruwa, since 2013. He moves around with his water trolley every day, quietly doing his work.

Today, his first child is already in university, while the other four are still in secondary school, all trained with the money he makes from selling water and farming.

During farming season, he travels back to his village, then returns to Abuja to continue hustling. His wife and children stay in the village while he stays here to provide for them.

Sometimes when we see him under the sun, we don’t realize he’s not just pushing water, he’s raising a whole future with it.
