For those who have forgotten the past 40 years:
Tax cuts for the rich
...don’t trickle down
Boosting military spending
...doesn’t bring peace
Slashing regulations
...doesn’t create jobs
Folks, we’ve seen this all before.
Corporate America has turned its back on democracy and bowed down to Trump. When, in the future, it once agains becomes convenient for them to say they celebrate democracy we should not believe them.
In the meantime, we are on our own.
I fear we have a cruel month ahead of us: the future of campaign finance law, the definition of Election Day, the fate of birthright citizenship. While I remain hopeful, I am prepared for democracy to leave this month weaker than it entered. https://t.co/WKWGn1CznF
This is not politics as usual.
We’ve never had an openly authoritarian leader in office. Nor have we had a party totally subservient to their leader.
We must resist as such during these not normal times.
The President just used his power to exempt himself and his family from audits on every tax return they've ever filed.
If that is not corruption to the highest degree, then what is?
Democrats NEED to be talking more about the GUTTING of the Voting Rights Act.
MAGA is silencing voters and carving up Black districts all across the South to hold onto power.
This is Jim Crow 2.0. Silence is NOT an option.
What has me worried — what we all need to focus on — is that something important in our democracy broke last week, and we are only beginning to see the fallout. https://t.co/Ejx2m6kIjh
The foundation of our democracy is burning to the ground. The conservative Roberts Court did not light the match, but it has repeatedly declared fire hydrants, sprinklers and smoke detectors illegal. https://t.co/Ejx2m6lg8P
The damage from a reactionary Supreme Court:
Citizens United allows billionaires to buy elections.
Ending Roe v. Wade takes away a woman's right to control her body.
Louisiana v. Callais strips voting rights away from Black Americans.
Our rights are under attack. FIGHT BACK.
I have been sounding the alarm about this for months.
We are not prepared to deal with Hantavirus because of Trump and RFK Jr.'s cuts to the CDC.
Sec. Kennedy must immediately explain his plan keep Americans safe from this disease.

I often say that the fight for democracy is the fight of our generation. But let me be clear, if you aren’t fighting for Black voting rights right now then you aren’t really fighting for democracy.
The new Jim Crow will be defeated like the old Jim Crow.
We were tired then, but not defeated.
We are tired now, but we will not be defeated.
Weeping may endure for a night, but the morning is coming.
Last month in Virginia, the people made their voices heard at the ballot box and voted for new Congressional maps.
Today, the Virginia Supreme Court ignored the will of the people and overturned those democratically chosen maps.
This ruling gives a boost to Donald Trump's effort to rig the 2026 elections and the Republicans' long game to attack voting rights.
We are rightfully outraged, but we will not give up. We must continue our fight to restore the power of the people.
The future of America is so bleak it’s hard to comprehend after today’s decision. I think the blue states will have to secede themselves. The red states won’t allow it because the biggest resource of US revenue comes from blue states and the red states tend to siphon taxpayer dollars
