overall its not as tight as I would've liked and I wish the ending didn't feel abrupt, still very enjoyable though and I loved all the callbacks to previous games
9/10 maybe GOTY tbh tbh
2024 media thread
1. Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth
gameplay is MASSIVELY improved from 7 and addresses a lot of flaws, the ability to position yourself to knock enemies into your teammates so that you can deal extra damage is so satisfying, probably one of my favorite (1/3)
turn-based combat systems
the amount of side content is FAT even by yakuza standards (there is a whole animal crossing-esque side mode that I have seen people spend 20+ hours in)
story is a downgrade from 7 imo, plenty of great story beats that got me going crazy but (2/3)
