You are someone's favorite person. The way you laugh. Your kind heart. Your sense of humor. The way you make problems melt away with a loving hug or a shoulder to cry on. And it's tough to remember that sometimes. But it is true. You are appreciated for simply being you.
I really want us to eliminate the idea that just because someone is family, we are supposed to give them more grace and subject ourselves to their negative behavior. The notion that I’m expected to compromise my boundaries simply because we are related is absolutely insane.

Leaving doesn’t always mean lack of love . It can mean inability to cope, or fear of drowning in grief every single day.
@Olami_deeEbony@FountainKricket@Mappy6984 Why are you so quick to judge? Grief affects everyone differently, and people cope in their own ways. Staying may have given her strength, but for him, it could’ve been a constant reminder of what they lost. That child was an extension of them both.
