@williamnhutton Declining harvest yields = food price inflation. More floods & wildfires = rising household insurance premiums. More droughts = rising water bills. Hotter summers means increased aircon & power outages = rising energy bills But apparently we can’t afford to stop climate change ?

Gary's simplistic thinking is so flawed. To the 5% passive yield he wants to apply a 2% wealth tax. Assume 45% tax & 3% inflation the real yield is negative 0.25%. Gary wants to make the yield negative 2.25%. Nuts. Even with a lowly 20% tax Gary would create a negative yield of 1%.

Anyone interested in America's decline & China's rise should read this lengthy article. Trump is obviously accelerating the US decline - Xi is taking advantage although he has a long term vision/plan as well. China is already dominant in EVs, solar, batteries etc - next up biotech & AI ?

@henrywinter If Infantino was a CEO of a company, the Chairman and / or shareholders would now force his resignation. There are zero governance guardrails around Infantino who has clearly abused his role. He has zero credibility to continue in a leadership role of a major organisation.
