@catsfive@AlaliQasem Almost 95% of Alberta's diluted bitumen exports go to the United States because Canada's own refineries don't have enough residue conversion capacity to process it. Most refineries globally aren't built for it either. Check the facts please.
@catsfive@AlaliQasem Canadian oil sands are a 5 to 10 year solution to a 10-day problem. The Canadian Oil sands contain bitumen extremely heavy crude that won't flow toward a well. It must be mined, heated, or diluted with solvents, and then upgraded to lighter oil before refineries can use it.
