@MrPitbull07 Much love and recognition of heroism to you, my brother. You're actually an angel on earth, and God used you to save her life. He put you in ... place and time so we all can continue to glorify him. What an amazing 👏 God we serve. Continue to let your light shine - brother!
@TeaPainUSA Win big. Leave no doubt.
The best way to do that is to embrace the economy, build national confidence, and put all swing states in the D column.
GOODNIGHT MY FRIENDS...
Here's 2 of my favorite lesser known Lincoln quotes:
"Nearly all men can stand adversity, but if you want to test a man’s character, give him power."
"l would rather be a little nobody, than to be an evil somebody."
One of the tragic things that Hollywood has done to the general level of global discourse is that it has forced the Hegelian Dialectic on every issue, reducing even the most complicated issues to a simple 2-sided discourse where a 'good guy' and a 'bad guy' must be established.
In the real world, binaries very rarely exist. Reducing everything to "good guy vs. bad guy" is an excellent way to keep the world stupid and stuck in a perennial state of conflict. In real life, there is almost NEVER a "good guy" and a "bad guy." Everyone has elements of both, and who is whom often depends on the perspective of the person saying so.
Take, for example, Umkhonto We Size (MK), the armed wing of the African National Congress during South Africa's apartheid era. Was MK a "terrorist organisation"? Yes, it was. You can find a long list of its operations - including murder of civilian innocents - here: https://t.co/5bcFvJD89y
In fact, its 1st Commander was on an FBI global antiterror watchlist until 2008. You might know him. He went by the name of Nelson Rolihlahla Mandela. Depending on your perspective, MK's activities were either an inevitable response to violent settler-colonialist oppression or an inexcusable set of atrocities committed against people who were for the most part not even responsible for the existence of apartheid.
Many white South Africans who lived in mortal fear of MK in the 70s and 80s were neither responsible for apartheid nor even in favour of its existence. Remember that the apartheid regime was often just as heavy-handed toward white anti-apartheid activists as it was toward black freedom fighters.
Thus many white South Africans found themselves under the double jeopardy of living under a globally unpopular dictatorship that they secretly hated and were ashamed of, and also being potential targets of deadly or economically disastrous MK attacks through no real fault of their own. They just happened to be born white in South Africa - they didn't ask for any of it, and so they could successfully argue that they were just victims in all this.
Yet a black person in South Africa at the time could also successfully argue that any notion of white victimhood was nonsense because white South Africans at least had the option to leave the country and start new lives in Canada and Australia - something Lerato and Julius in kwaZulu Natal had neither the legal right nor the economic power to do.
Depending on which of these 2 groups of people you asked, MK was either a group of freedom fighters pushing back against a despotic regime on behalf of a desperately oppressed majority, or a group of violent brutes and Communist-indoctrinated thugs who simply hated white people and wanted them gone.
Both of those perspectives would, in fact, be correct.
The reason Nelson Mandela is remembered as a Nobel Peace Prize winner and one of the greatest statesmen of all time, as against the feared 1st Commander of Umkhonto We Sizwe, Southern Africa's deadliest terror organisation, is because he WON. History is written, not by objective historians, but by those who win.
That's why the state of Israel and Hamas - both historically as brutal and despotic as each other - are each desperate to win instead of reaching a compromise. Because they know that the person who wins, no matter what atrocity they may have been responsible for along the way, becomes the hero of a Hollywood movie with Morgan Freeman as the lead actor.
The world craves simple binary narratives for every issue, including those where binaries do not materially exist, and we have Hollywood to thank for that.
We're all becoming stupider.
WOW, this will provoke the righteous, thoughtful human being ...in you!
