it reads like lena’s coaching team are trying to blame her for her own injuries. they’re suggesting she insisted on ‘irresponsible’ training practices. she’s 14 mate it’s YOUR RESPONSIBILITY to guide her to train healthily. stfu
I'm glad it's not serious, but why does it sound like they're blaming Lena... She's 14, I don't expect her to have proper judgment, but her COACH should know better and put his foot down when it comes to things regarding her health.
Irina and Yana provide information on what happened with Elena Kostyleva.
“Falling from a quadruple jump is like falling from the third floor” and “Inflammation of the gluteal muscle” because she chooses to not wear protective shorts…
honestly tho, it's hard to fully blame plushenko for lena's constant injuries. he's a fcking idiot for planning for 5 ultra-c jumps in august, but even if he were to say no jumps so she can rest and recover, irina would just drag lena off to a random rink and force her to jump...
Alexandrova d. Aryna Sabalenka 7-6(3) 4-6 6-4 in Toronto
DROVA BEATS THE WORLD #1.
Incredible bravery from her… she’s shown time & time again why she’s one of the most dangerous hitters in tennis.
She’s now won 5 matches against Aryna, leveling their head to head.
Into her first WTA 1000 QF of the season and her first quarterfinal at the Canada Open.
It’s her 3rd win over a world #1.
✅21st top 10 win
✅2nd top 5 win of 2026
The giant slayer back at it.
💙
Dzepka is such a gem, though. She'll do great internationally. Which, unfortunately for Lena, means very little chance of making worlds this season. But at least Dzepka will secure full spots for next season 🙏🏻
Devastated for Lena, but not at all surprised. Her mom and Plushenko push this poor kid way too hard. Why was it necessary to train 5 ultra-c jumps for a competition in August?? Just stupid. Hope she can make a speedy recovery and this is a wake up call for everyone involved.
Character Teaser - "Odette: An Illusion of Gentle Snow" | #GenshinImpact#NowSnezhnaya#GenshinSnezhnaya#Odette
Her life unfolds like the dance of a waterbird.
When at last she breaks free from the frozen lake's cruel grasp, her white wings shall carry her skyward.
Coco Gauff on the WTA's new genetic testing policy:
"I understand the reasoning behind it. I do think that this kind of conversation has created a lot of animosity towards the trans community, which I'm not really a big fan of, but I also understand the need to [account for] the biological difference and the need to protect that and preserve that. So I think it's a conversation that is very nuanced.
I kind of agree with trying to protect the fairness in women's sports. But I also do not like the attack that it is creating. People who don't really care, but just want to use this as a reason to attack the trans community. So I'm not really a big fan of that either. I don't really know how to answer this question in a way that people aren't going to spin it.
But as far as where I stand, I definitely support the trans
community, but I also support the need of creating fairness in sport too."
Andreeva d. Pliskova 6-0 6-2 in Toronto
