@ApoloJedi_ Okay, nice in theory but that isn't the case in reality.
How about we stop aborting rape babies when rapists are all dealt with just as you say.
A life for a life, but we both know that will never happen.
@Latina_Pride@_tcxcv@slugopolis That's like saying everyone has to like eating fish.
"I don't like the taste of fish, it makes me sick."
"Well, I guess you aren't empathetic or creative now are you?"
"No, I just don't like fish and that's okay."
@endabortionmeme If the thing you are doing doesn't result in people 99% of the times you engage in it, maybe the primary purpose of the activity isn't making more people.
@endabortionmeme As a woman who has been married 18 years with two kids I can tell you very very little sex I've had with my husband was for making babies.
@TomiTheBull No clue why they need all that. Sam's club has an app that does the same thing.
Almost everyone has a smart phone in their pocket so this tech is a step back from where we already are with scan-and-go apps.
@MrBasedGuy@pinkheretic And yes, I do believe at a certain point barring major complications with the mother or babies health a woman should have to give birth.
That point is viability. Because at that point the baby does have a right to life since they are capable of living.
@MrBasedGuy@pinkheretic That is why viability should be the cute off point.
At that point the baby achieves a level of autonomy it did not have before. It can be safely removed and kept alive in a hospital.
It can be seperate from the mother and live.
At that point it has achieved personhood.
@MrBasedGuy@pinkheretic Anyone taken off life support when they require it to live will die.
That is simply how life support works.
You have a right to life, but not at the expense of someone else's body if they do not wish to sustain you.
@MrBasedGuy@pinkheretic Not at the expense of someone else. If you need a blood transfusion and I am a match, your right to life doesn't require me to sustain you.
That is why viability is the key.
@HelenRothfus@JustJ_32 Ectopic pregnancy will always end in the death of the child and will kill the mother if it isn't terminated.
There are also a number of health conditions that will kill a woman if she tries to carry to term.
When you say never, you condemn these women to death.
