During @photomatt's QnA in #WCEU2025 #WCEU in Basel, the GDPR, the European regulation on privacy was mentioned, but I think the point was missed. It is not about users blocking companies from infringing on their personal data, it's about companies being transparent and accountable about what they do with the user's personal data.

All this #wpdrama will affect #WordPress's market share, powering the web as we move forward. Companies won't want to spend money on a platform where the actions of one person can suddenly compromise their website's security and functionality. It's really unfortunate.
