The left-side truck is 33’9” long. It can extend the ladder sideways & articulate down as shown. It has a max working height of 105’.
The tiller truck on right is 63’ long. It does the same, but only as a straight ladder. It has a max height of 100’. It is also 2.5x the price.
@pythonrocksnake See: the Osprey. Comparing it's safety record to planes, it sucks. But in the role it actually fills (it's a helicopter that can fly like a plane, not the reverse), it's safety record is comparable to other choppers. But because it's new, not being plane!safe is le bad.
@robot_machines@Andercot Being able to glide at ~400:1 better.
If a helicopter loses power, you have to find a spot to autorotate to within like 200m of your current position.
If a plane loses power, you have a huge radius to find a landing strip.
Planes are safer than helicopters for a reason.
@DgpRector@V_E_R_G I don't totally hate the idea of him becoming "good guy mafia leader", I more hated that every fight was him getting beaten silly with a baton while barely fighting back.
@mightydudbolt For all the hate Crystal Skull got as a movie, it at least liked Indy as a character and the closing sendoff is, while maybe cheesy, a fun "ride off into the sunset" for him.
@Devon_Eriksen_@SandyofCthulhu The real problem is if it's actually inexpensive.
If lvl 1+ mages are 1 in 1000+, and higher level mages are 1 in 100+ of those, magic becomes rare enough to not terribly impact the setting.
What the heroes/players can do doesn't have to representative of what the rest can do.
