Read the @IECSouthAfrica responding affidavit to the @MYANC baseless claims about the candidate nomination “glitch,” etcetera etcetera. Emphatic😖. Five (5) key things:

1.180 paragraphs of facts and evidence.
2.6 municipalities the ANC failed to submit lists for (including Mangaung Metro).
3.2,274 candidates whose names were not submitted.
4.Deadline: 17:00, 28 August.
5.16:58, the last time the ANC submitted a candidates list of Inxuba Yethemba Municipality, proving the system was functioning properly, as it should up to the last minute.

Then comes the uppercut: the ANC failed to submit the list of nominations, and by law, the ANC is excluded from elections in these six municipalities.

If the Electoral Court finds in favour of the ANC, they must just include a paragraph explaining how special the ANC is, and why it must be treated as if it’s above the law.

If you are an ANC member, read paragraph 24 of Mr Phatudi Simon “Sy” Mamabolo’s affidavit, Chief Electoral Officer, and if it doesn’t make you think heads must roll at the level of Officials, at least Secretary General, it says more about you than about Secretary General Mr @MbalulaFikile.
