مجھے اپنے محبوب استاذ، حضرت مولانا ڈاکٹر سعید الرحمن اعظمی ندوی رحمہ اللہ، پرنسپل دارالعلوم ندوۃ العلماء، کے انتقال کی خبر ملی۔ میں اس وقت ڈربن، جنوبی افریقہ میں تھا، اور یہ خبر میرے لیے نہایت غم ناک تھی۔ حضرت نے 92 سال کی عمر میں اس دنیا سے رخصت لی۔

حضرت میری زندگی کی ان مؤثر شخصیات میں سے تھے جن سے مجھے علم، حکمت، تقویٰ اور وقت کی پابندی کا عملی سبق ملا۔ ندوہ میں اپنے پورے تعلیمی سفر کے دوران مجھے متعدد مواقع پر حضرت کی دعائیں حاصل ہوئیں، جن کی یادیں میری زندگی کے قیمتی ترین سرمایہ میں شامل ہیں۔

آج بھی وہ موقع یاد ہے جب حضرت خود میرا داخلہ لے رہے تھے اور فرمایا تھا: ”تم پوری دنیا میں ندوہ کا پرچم لہراؤ گے۔“ حضرت کی یہ دعا اور حوصلہ افزائی میرے لیے ہمیشہ ایک قیمتی یاد رہے گی۔

اللہ تعالیٰ حضرت کی مغفرت فرمائے، ان کے درجات بلند فرمائے، علم و دین اور ندوہ کے لیے ان کی طویل خدمات کو شرفِ قبول بخشے، اور ان کے اہلِ خانہ، متعلقین، تلامذہ اور تمام محبین کو صبرِ جمیل عطا فرمائے۔ اللہ تعالیٰ ہمیں اپنے اساتذہ کے علمی و روحانی ورثے سے ہمیشہ مستفید فرمائے۔ آمین۔
