As a child of God, you have to know that He can speak to you in a variety of different ways —some may be subtle, and some may be spectacular. What is important is to be certain that it is God who has spoken. We are highlighting this because the way some people will describe their grand encounters with God can make you feel as if you are not hearing from Him at all. This can discourage you from recognizing and embracing God’s voice in your own life.

In this season, God is calling us back to humility. Some of the grand experiences people claim to have may be real, but often they are exaggerated and overstated for effect. Do not be deceived. God is speaking to you daily, in quiet and gentle ways. Don’t overlook His voice simply because you’re chasing an experience that may not even exist. True Spiritual maturity is recognizing God in the subtle, not just the spectacular.

Not every vision is a spectacle, some revelations come in whispers!
