WOW. Big news.
The Assembly of Treaty Chiefs just dropped a bomb on Danielle Smith.
Treaty 6, 7 & 8. United. Unanimously calling for an RCMP and Auditor General investigation into whether the Premier and her UCP government committed TREASON under Section 46 of the Criminal Code of Canada.
The Chiefs met on Treaty 7 territory in Calgary on June 16 and voted as one — pushing a separation referendum that puts Canada’s sovereignty at risk, trampling the Treaty relationship, ignoring privacy violations affecting millions, and opening the door to foreign interference. That’s the case they’re laying out.
And they’re going back to the source. When Treaty was signed, the Northwest Mounted Police — now the RCMP — made a promise: protect First Nations, protect these Territories. The Crown guaranteed peace and goodwill in exchange for sharing this land.
The Chiefs are saying: eff around and find out.

Norway have qualified for their first World Cup since 1998, and the first thing they did was ship in their own cheese, fish and 6,000 oranges. A touching show of faith in the American food supply.
Start with the cheese, since they hauled 116 kilograms of it across the Atlantic. Dairy in the United States can come from cows injected with a growth hormone called rBST, which has been banned across Europe for years and does not even have to appear on the label over here. Norwegian cows never go near it, so the players would sooner bring their own.
The fish follows much the same logic. A good deal of American tuna is treated with carbon monoxide, sold to the trade under the lovely name "tasteless smoke," which fixes that bright red colour and keeps it looking fresh long after it has quietly stopped being so. Europe banned the practice in 2003, while America still permits it.
Then the oranges, all 6,000 of them, because the US happily lets growers spray the skins with Citrus Red 2, a dye the World Health Organisation's cancer agency calls a possible carcinogen, all so a slightly green orange can pass for a ripe one on the shelf. Europe will not let it anywhere near food.
So when a side with one shot at a World Cup takes a long look at the local cheese, fish and fruit and flies in a tonne of their own instead, you can understand how they got there.
A ringing endorsement of American food, obviously.
Holy Christ. Albertans is this really what you want? I thought Albertans owned the energy? Now Albertans pays the most? WOW. Keep voting for The UCP. Things will get better. They promise...It's Carneys fault.
This is seems like a real bad deal if you ask me.
Fun fact. For the 1966 World Cup, England debated denying visas for North Korea. FIFA responded that if any players from any teams were denied visas, they would relocate the World Cup, even at the last minute.
Grocery stores asking struggling customers to “donate to fight hunger” at the checkout while they throw out perfectly good food behind closed doors is one of the biggest hypocrisies in our society.
If food is still safe to eat and within days of expiring, it should be going to food banks, shelters, and people in need, not dumpsters.
We don’t have a food shortage, we have a system that would rather waste food than feed people.
The fact the Premier can’t make her argument without lying or attacking a key institution in our democracy kind of says it all.
This is all about her ambitions & ego - her desire to cling to power - not fighting for anything the vast majority of Albertans actually want. #ableg
🇨🇦Important point.👇 Smith claims the judge got the law wrong and that rejecting the separatist petition with 301k signatures is undemocratic, but at the same time has prevented the over 438k Forever Canadian petition from being voted on in the Legislature. Smith is a separatist.
Danielle Smith needs to explain to all Albertans why the Provincial Government using our tax dollars would appeal a court decision about a petition organized by a private citizen initiative.
Unless she is taking ownership of the separatist movement.
Alberta, watch this carefully.
Snake oil mongers sold Brits on Brexit. People fell for it. Economy collapsed. Business relocated to EU.
Now UK wants back in.
