Cycling 25 km & 50 km routes, the team promoted fitness, healthy living and a greener future. 🌱

05 Bn NDRF participated in a Joint Annual Mock Exercise at RCFL, Mumbai on 05.06.2026.
The exercise witnessed active participation from CISF, Mumbai Police, Police QRT, ATS, RCFL Fire & Safety, Fire Tenders from RCFL/HPCL/BPCL, Ambulances, RCFL Management & Officials, DISH, State Disaster Management Team, HPCL, and BPCL.
The mock exercise enhanced inter-agency coordination, emergency preparedness, and response capabilities for handling critical security and industrial emergency scenarios.

📍 Conducted at Zilpi Lake, Tehsil Hingna, Dist. Nagpur
👥 NDRF personnel conducted an awareness session on disaster management, flood preparedness, safety precautions, and emergency response coordination, with active participation from key stakeholders including SDRF, Police, Fire Department, Home Guards, Tehsil administration, and other community representatives to enhance disaster readiness and public safety.

Last year, a team from 5 Bn NDRF was deployed at Pandharpur during the revered Wari pilgrimage for flood and water-related emergency response on the banks of river Chandrabhaga. The team remained prepared round the clock for rescue, emergency response and public safety of lakhs of devotees. 🎓 CAPACITY BUILDING PROGRAMME
📍 Conducted at Aundh Military Station, Rakshak Chowk, Pimpri-Chinchwad, Distt. Pune, Maharashtra
👨‍🚒 NDRF personnel conducted a Capacity Building Programme for NCC students of 02 Maharashtra Girls Bn NCC. The session focused on disaster preparedness, emergency response techniques, safety awareness, and coordinated action during emergencies. A total of 421 students and staff members participated in the programme.

📍 Conducted at Marol Naka & Gundavali/WEH Metro Interchange Hubs.
🤝 NDRF teams, along with MMRCL authorities, SDMA representatives, BMC officials, Fire Brigade, Police, and security staff, participated in a large-scale multi-hazard mock exercise simulating fire incidents, structural damage, flash flooding, train stalling, OHE short-circuit, underground flooding, brake-slip, and passenger stampede scenarios to strengthen preparedness, coordination, communication, evacuation, and rapid joint emergency response mechanisms during complex urban disasters
