we don’t need to halve the population. thats eco facism. we need to get rid of militaries (responsible for 70% of emissions), data centers, companies that produce single use plastic, and switch out of fossil fuels to clean energy. but they’d rather let people die than do that
Elitist take of the day: Imo the fact that there's a huge Star Wars "lore" fandom and a huge SW fandom in general but only a fraction of those superfans actually read even the comic books, let alone the novels, is a sign of a sick society. Reading pulp for fun should be normal.
This Massive Attack fiasco is a disaster for Singapore’s PR in the international arts, cultural, & entertainment scene and I worry it’s going to make thing even more difficult for independent collectives looking to invite foreign acts to perform in SG
@lululvssambucky you mean to tell me the guy that got in zemo’s face after throwing that glass and the guy that pushed sam to be cap and asked the wakandans (while being on bad terms with them) to make sam a suit is the same guy in this pcs? nahhh that’s not my bucky. lazy lazy writing
I haven’t watched tb and never will bc they honestly disgust me but I had no idea THIS is what was said about Sam….ive always said Bucky would NEVER sit quiet while they diss him but esp seeing THIS? such shitty writing and marvel made Bucky say NOTHING, ts is SO ooc he’d never.
Listen, I understand that Clone Wars flashbacks are a likely thing to find in a show about a Clone Wars character, but I also think they are just beating dead horses here. The flashback sequence in the first season looked atrocious and was inefficient at further developing Ahsoka's character because Filoni seems completely incapable of writing compelling internal *and* external character conflicts. Ahsoka has received so little characterisation since her jump to live-action that these moments just end up feeling hollow.
Every appearance of Anakin's force ghost makes his absence in the Sequel Trilogy feel even more absurd. Every scene in this series feels emotionally distant and jingling the Obi-Wan Kenobi keys just won't save it. Only a writers' room could.
i fucking hate when netflix/streaming captions paraphrase what is said. why are you cutting out words. i’m using closed captions bc i have a hard time understanding what people are saying. WHY ARE YOU CHANGING IT.
Matthew Stover gives a great explanation regarding the scene where Luke ignites his lightsaber over Ben Solo in THE LAST JEDI. Stover almost gets through to them.
Luke’s voiceover in that scene for additional context:
“I saw darkness. I sensed it building in him. I'd seen it in moments during his training. But then I looked inside, and it was beyond what I ever imagined.
Snoke had already turned his heart. He would bring destruction and pain and death, and the end of everything | love because of what he will become, and for the briefest moment of pure instinct, I thought I could stop it. It passed like a fleeting shadow, and I was left with shame and with consequence. And the last thing I saw were the eyes of a frightened boy whose Master had failed him.”
One of the MCU’s biggest failings is not having a season of She Hulk releasing every year where random characters drop by with legal troubles and make the universe more lived in
i don’t think a lot of people understand that even if ai was completely environmentally neutral, or even positive, you should still be against it. it’s making everyone dumb and fucking insane. it will be the downfall of our society
Fuck whomever complained about this act of solidarity, fuck the authorities for being cucks for Zionists, and definitely fuck those who are using this incident to reheat the "Israel of SEAsia" "spiritually Israeli" discourse when Malaysia and Indonesia fit better
