When the Cavs stink, the media doesn’t claim it is because they mistreated LeBron causing him to leave. When the Guardians stink, the media doesn’t suggest blowing up the team and trading Jose at the next possible offer.
Give me credentials and I can do your job better than you.
🚨🚨🚨 @ByJasonLloyd summarizing the fans relationship with the Cleveland media just now on @923TheFan: "When the Cavs stink, fans blame the Cavs. When the Guards stink, the fans blame the Guards. When the Browns stink, the fans blame the media"
I (admittedly) care about lists more than most, and I get irrationally upset at how many folks casually throw around “Top 10 All Time” and use it to refer to ~15 players.
So, inspired by Jokic, I made this. A nice tiered list of 22 NBA legends, and where each is in that debate.
Luke Falk shared a Mike Leach story that stopped me cold:
Two kids. One rich. One poor.
Every training camp, Coach Leach told his team about these 2 kids.
The rich kid has two choices.
Get soft. Get entitled. Expect everything handed to him because he was handed more.
Or take the resources, the coaching, the opportunities, and compound them into something greater.
The poor kid has two choices too.
Say nobody gave him anything. Blame the world. Make his circumstances the reason he never became what he could have been.
Or outwork everyone in the room.
Luke said the locker room had both. Kids from wealth. Kids from nothing. Kids with every advantage. Kids who scraped for every inch.
Same choice for all of them.
Ownership or victimhood.
Fuel or excuse.
The rich kid can waste the head start or build on it.
The poor kid can drown in the deficit or weaponize it.
Greatness doesn't come from where you start.
It comes from which kid you choose to feed.

The worst part of maturing is realising that some of your friends are immature and won't grow up. It's just really awkward to be around someone who won't help themselves and participate meaningfully in society despite being completely able to.
One’s respect for Navy football is a litmus test of knowing ball.
Last time they played a P4/5 team was 2014.
They had a 20-17 ball game w 9 minutes left against the season champs Ohio State.
They have spent 130+ years mastering one of the most complex offenses to defend.
Note Dame only plays 4 teams next season that had a winning record in 2025…and one of those teams is the Naval Academy.
Notre Dame has the best set up in sports. They will never miss the playoff.
What if I told you that Miami only got in because Virginia lost?
That Big Conference and the Deep State of CFB had a “squeeze-out” operation in place incase Duke won the ACC?
That they decided two weeks ago after they “randomly” moved ND back to #10 —that Alabama would be protected at all costs after they survived Auburn, and that they’d use BYU as collateral damage if Virginia couldn’t secure the ACC bid..
That the “head to head” angle is just a distraction to teach Notre Dame a lesson since they haven’t followed the corporate model of joining a conference
