Behind every smile is a story you’ll never see.
We all have a version of ourselves we show the world.
The one that laughs at jokes, posts happy photos, and says, “I’m fine,” before anyone asks twice.
But some nights, the silence is louder than the noise.
The deepest pain isn’t always the kind that leaves visible scars. It’s the weight you carry when the house is quiet, when it’s 3 AM, and your mind replays memories of people who walked away, words you wish you’d said, and pieces of yourself you never got back.
I’ve learned something.
Healing isn’t about forgetting.
It’s about accepting that not everyone is meant to stay. Some people are chapters, not the entire story. Some battles are fought in silence. Some wounds never bleed, but they still deserve time to heal.
If you’re carrying something nobody else can see, this is for you.
I see you.
Your pain is real. Your fight matters. And the fact that you’re still here means you’re stronger than you realize.
One day you’ll look back and notice the weight isn’t as heavy, your heart isn’t as guarded, and you’re breathing a little easier.
Until then, be patient with yourself.
You don’t have to have it all together.
Just don’t give up.
Someone needs the person you’re becoming.
Stuffed. Now a smoke break and fire up the smoker to preheat, then wrap in bacon and let soak in BBQ sauce.
*Side note* Not sure how but I didn't have any shells or stuffing left over. Perfect ratio.
There’s no coming back from this.
Get up. Walk into your station. Put your gun in your badge on your captains desk.
Don’t say a word. Walk out and never come back.
Time to find a new career path.
