The Prince Charles Cinema is thrilled to announce that we have signed a new 25-year lease with no break clause, ensuring our projectors will keep rolling for years to come.

Danny Boyle says he would use AI in filmmaking again despite the backlash for using it in Ink:
“For animals, it’s sort of a no brainer… it’s sort of part of VFX anyway at the moment, whether people want to admit it or not” #LFF
@JakeBaldino So refreshing to see an iconic horror property be adapted with care in an inventive way like this rather than another ‘Dead by Daylight’ clone.
I feel so strongly about The Academy having no business referencing films it failed to acknowledge with a nomination.
As an aside, this is perhaps the most bizarre one I’ve seen yet!
My thoughts on this: while I am happy to see finally someone has the balls to say that Melissa is on the right side of history (which we always knew) and it’s commendable he even said he was on the wrong side, it is not lost on me that this is coming out after he took the check-
Practical Magic 2 falls into that Last Airbender trap of being funny to British audiences in a way the American writers couldn't foresee. Lee Pace plays a character called "Ian Wright," and everyone over 35 at my screening was laughing at lines like "Ian Wright betrayed me!"
🚨 No more sugarcoating. The UN just confirmed the 1.5°C climate limit is effectively dead. We will breach it within years, not decades. We are officially entering a dangerous "overshoot" era. Current policies track us to a lethal 2.6°C.
What does crossing 1.5°C actually mean? It means a massive surge in compounding weather disasters. We aren't just talking about hotter days, as we are looking at abrupt, unpredictable severe droughts, collapsing ice sheets, and extreme floods happening all at once.
It gets worse. Rising sea levels will trigger permanent coastal submersion, threatening to completely swallow island nations. Simultaneously, brutal severe droughts will collapse global crop yields, causing skyrocketing food prices and widespread shortages.
We are completely unprepared.
@MugenTalks I’m surprised they would include it in an art book! The optics of these practices are poor, so I’d expect them to bury it (where possible) rather than show it off.
Sorry to see Kavinsky has passed. ‘Nightcall’ is surely in my Top 3 songs played over the past 15 years. Impossible to think of ‘Drive’ and not recall it.
