@JohnnyNoblebody@HandyGingerGal@jwilluno307 The biggest factor is quality, whether it’s refined, how it’s made, and the seed source. Refined lipids lose many of their natural properties, and most carrier oils on the market are refined for stability and shelf life.
@CrictopetVal Just a little insight - that study was in vitro on glass plates, not in vivo for the UV absorption results. Still, there’s a lot of great info there. Raspberry seed oil really shines at helping repair damage, thanks to its high vitamin A & E content and lipid profile.
@financedystop Plenty alternatives out there that focus on repairing the damage done to our dermis from UVB radiation and sub-dermal layer from UVA. Feed your skin what it needs.
@Mbith888@BioavailableNd Depends: is it refined? is it pure?
Topical RSO has high vitamin E and pre-vitamin A. Low polyunsaturated fats. If it's refined the vitamin E & Vitamin A content is severely impacted due to the heat involved in refining.
@BioavailableNd Berry seed oils are known for being low in polyunsaturated fats while being rich in tocopherols and carotenoids. Raspberry seed oil, in particular, is incredibly high in alpha, gamma, and delta tocopherols—forms of Vitamin E that are great for nourishing and protecting the skin.
@BowTiedFawn We have been pressing raspberry seed oil for 8+ years and recommend using it before and after sun exposure. Let the oil absorb into your skin, then apply sunscreen so the sunscreen is not diluted. The antioxidative properties are great at repairing free radical damage.
@thai_brows @zhenskiiotdel We are a small family business that cold-presses raspberry seed oil. Zinc Oxide is your friend! Such oils absorb into your skin when used standalone - the oomah et al 2000 study on RSO that is always referenced for SPF was analyzed In vitro, not even In vivo.
@joverdose17 It's the fatty content (oil) present in Raspberry Seeds. Typically extracted by pressing or by CO2 extraction. We produce the stuff from seed to oil.
@rosariiium_ss @AshleyL____ Found your e-mail today and responded! Sorry for the delay, somehow it got sent to spam. I think our filter doesn't like the word Twitter. Hope to hear back soon!
