Normal Ordinals get positive numbers (#1, #50000, etc.).
Cursed Inscriptions (aka negative ones) were the “rebels” — valid on-chain art that the original Ord indexer couldn’t recognize properly. Instead of breaking the whole numbering system, they got negative IDs (-1, -2… down to around -472k).

They come from clever tricks like:
• Multiple inscriptions in one tx
• Using certain opcodes
• Inscribing on non-first inputs
After the Jubilee upgrade, new ones get normal numbers… but these cursed OGs stay negative forever. That’s what makes them legendary.😈💎🔥
