It wasn’t. It was a big strategic failure.
Yes, the US and Israel blew up a lot of thing. But “blowing up a lot of stuff” is not a meaningful metric of “success”. The US also bombed the hell out of Vietnam and Cambodia but no sane person would claim this was “massive military success”.
Despite it no doubt did achieve significant degradation, as well as some key hits, the
military campaign failed in its most important strategic goals:
1) it was unable to fully resolve the nuclear issue and retrieve or destroy the HEU
2) it was unable to fully destroy or degrade Irans missile and drone strike capability; Iran retained retaliatory capability throughout the war. Even worse, US/Israeli bombs were not able to penetrate Irans missile bases, which remain virtually untouched, while even during the war sortie generation wasn’t high enough to prevent Iran from digging out tunnel entrances and continue shooting missiles every day
3) it was unable to prevent Iran from taking control of Hormuz and retaining it under fire
4) it was unable to degrade the regime’s command and control authority in a sufficient way to change 1-3, let alone achieve regime change
5) it did all this while expending a strategic amount of stand off munitions and interceptors, apparently 1/3-1/2 in some key categories, several years of supply. This completely rules out any quick repetition
What is “completely delusional” is to think “blowing up a lot of surface structures” is a “massive success” when all strategic military objectives failed and the war had to be stopped because key munitions were running out.
